WATERFALLS

A few years ago my sister and I took a trip to Oregon. We got up early one morning to drive out to Multnomah Falls. I had never seen a waterfall before and was amazed by its grandeur. What made the biggest impression on me was the noise. It was deafening! The roar of the water shut out everything else. It was almost as though nothing else existed but us and that waterfall.

Turning my life over to God is like creating a waterfall. My river of life flows along--sometimes gently, sometimes through rapids, sometimes encountering obstacles that require a change in course. But when I give my life to Him, God’s presence becomes a roar that drowns out everything else in life and I begin to hear His will for me more clearly. The flow of blessings that was once a small trickle becomes an amazing, roaring outpouring of grace and blessings. But I have to remember to let God have full control of my life. If I don’t, I limit myself to those small trickles when He wants to create waterfalls!

Time To Steep

Is God’s presence a roar in my life? Am I letting Him create the waterfalls He longs to give me or am I limiting myself to small trickles of blessings?

"May God our Father shower you with blessings and fill you with his great peace."
